The most recommended beaches in Phuket

Phuket is a large and very famous island in Thailand, it lies in the Andaman Sea about 861 km from the capital of Thailand, Bangkok

It is recommended to take a taxi or tuktuk to Patong from there when you want some action, the prices are very cheap, about NIS 30 for a tuktuk taxi, it takes less and you can also haggle and the travel time varies between 15-17 minutes and of course you can visit the beach even if you don't plan to sleep there at night, there are also Water sports activities, massages, a selection of restaurants and cafes and food that reminds of the taste of home, Karon Beach also has a number of pubs and bars in case you run out of cash.

Kata Beach (KATA BEACH)

South of Karon Beach lie two beaches named Kata Yai and Kata Noi 

The beaches are about half an hour's drive from the central Patong beach.

Kata Yai - is the largest beach of them where you will find most of the water sports activities and surfing. The luxury club Club Med "dominates" it, although it is also open to the general public.

Kata Noi - is a smaller beach where you will find more excellent and luxurious hotels and resorts such as KATHTANI

Paradise Beach (PARADISE BEACH)

As its name suggests, another calm, peaceful and isolated but highly touristed stretch of beach in a bay about 200 meters long, small but very dreamy is about half an hour's drive from Patong Beach.

The water is clear and clean and there are also short walking paths and nice pebbles, fruit stands and a net for playing volleyball.

NAI HARN BEACH

This sandy beach is located in South Phuket, about 38 minutes drive south of Patong Beach, the atmosphere on the beach is less touristy and gives a rustic and authentic feeling, the food is more local and handmade clothing items are sold there, 

By the beach there is an amazingly beautiful lake with aquatic animals

And in the center is a small island with a nice park and inside it a magnificent temple.

The beach is recommended for sports activities, fitness facilities and sailing in pedal boats 

In addition, if you went ahead and rented a car, parking at this beach is convenient 

BANG TAO BEACH

About half an hour's drive north of Patong Beach and about 16 km from Phuket Airport lies a long strip of luxurious and chic beach with white sand about 8 km long, spread out on the strip ranging from secluded and luxurious resorts to relaxed and nice bars for sitting with fine local cuisine And there are also fashionable boutiques for shopping

On Fridays there is also a night market on the spot and the beach is also a serious attraction for surfers. 

Kamala Beach (KAMALA BEACH)

20 minutes drive north of Patong lies Kamala Beach 

A long calm and peaceful beach which is among the only beaches in Phuket where there are restaurants right on the sandy beach strip, sought after mainly by couples and families 

In the beginning Kamala was a peaceful town but became popular mainly due to an amusement park built near the beach called FANTASEA PARK and the CAFE DEL MAR BEACH CLUB restaurant

which is located on the beach and has a selection of snacks and beach food and a spectacular swimming pool, a bit expensive compared to Phuket.

Surin Beach

Surin Beach is also located a little more than a 20-minute drive north of Patong.

The beach is smooth and without rocks, clean and well-maintained, it has a square where fitness classes are often held in groups. Water sports on the beach are also sold at fair prices. To everyone's liking, but it is also necessary to be careful when swimming at the beach because sometimes the vendors swim very close to the swimmers at the beach.

There are no larger restaurants, a place to have a snack and relax, a beach near which there are good massages available, and then swim in the refreshing turquoise waters and rest in the shade of the palm trees.

MAI KAHO BEACH

If you've always wanted to be on those beaches where airplanes pass right under your head, this is the beach for you!

Most tourists visit the beach to watch the planes landing right above it since the airport is located only 11 km from it.

The beach is recommended for sunbathing due to its boiling point for romantic escapes and Instagram-worthy photos.

Rawai Beach - (RAWAI BEACH)

Let's start by announcing that the beach is not suitable for swimming 

and is mainly used as a mooring for fishing boats and is located in South Phuket, about an hour by bus from the center of the island, Patong and about 40 minutes by private car.

You can sail by boat to the nearby islands such as: 

RACHA ISLAND and CORAL ISLAND 

There are many restaurants, shops and a respectable commercial center in its vicinity, you will also find there a famous Thai boxing camp

Banana Beach (BANANA BEACH)

One of the highest rated dreamy and peaceful beaches in the Phuket area. Surrounded by palm trees and soft dreamy white sand located on a small island close to Phuket called CORAL ISLAND which is the coral island.

The beach is called "Phuket's hidden treasure" and is amazing with its clear water beauty and tropical atmosphere.

You can take a long tail boat (LONG TAIL BOAT)

From Rawai Beach or a ferry to a ship called CHALONG PIER

NAI YANG BEACH

Among the less touristed beaches is located in the north of Phuket in the western part of the island near the airport

About 50 minutes drive from the center - Patong Beach

and next to a small national park called Sirinat

You can enter it for 40 Thai baht

You can watch airplanes take off and land on this beach, the water is clear, the sand is coarse and golden, and there is large vegetation with shaded areas.

Perfect for families with children since there are not many waves.

The best time of year to visit is between November and April

But sometimes the noise is loud and less suitable for resting for a long time

Freedom Beach

A beautiful and amazing beach, hidden in a jungle which makes it isolated. Located about fifteen minutes drive from Patong 

And there are two ways to reach it:

The first one is more suitable for young people with energy due to the steep and challenging descent that takes about 25 minutes 

With a taxi ride from Patong Beach, you will also have to pay about 200 Thai baht as a transit tax 

And the return even more, not particularly recommended in the heat of Thailand.

The second way is to arrive by boat taxi from Patong Beach 

to Freedom Beach and thus save the exhausting and tiring way

In this way, you will have to say goodbye to approximately - 500 to 1500 Thai baht (the issue is subject to negotiation)

On the beach there are signs prohibiting the introduction of food and drink 

In practice, tourists say that they came and had no problem, so it's up to you...and also, there is a cheap restaurant on the beach itself.
