Celtic Football Club

The one who fills the stadium and makes his magic attractive and popular is none other than the Celtic football club, one of the most famous and successful football clubs in Europe.

The beloved club, which plays in the Scottish Premier League, was founded in 1887 as a local football team designed to provide employment and alleviate the poverty of the Irish immigrant population in Glasgow. The team played its first game in 1888, and from then until today, for over 130 years, the team continues to play and conquer new records alongside a devoted and embracing crowd of fans.

If you know Celtic, it is important that you also know its arch rival, the Glasgow Rangers team, the second largest team in the city. The matches between the two teams, known as the Glasgow derby, or the "Old Firm", are considered intense and hot and attract tens of thousands of enthusiastic spectators. The rivalry between the two groups is deeply woven into Scottish culture and identity, and it also reflects historical, political and religious tensions.

The team's fan base extends far beyond Scotland, and includes fan clubs in countries around the world. The team's fans are known to be passionate and loud, and you can see this by watching their favorite team's games.

Back on the pitch, Celtic boast an impressive record of outstanding success, with the club winning the Scottish League Championship no less than 53 times. The team's most impressive achievement at international level was probably in 1967, when the team won the European Cup (now the UEFA Champions League), becoming the first British team to do so.

Over the years, many legends have worn Celtic's team uniform, including Jimmy Johnston, Kenny Dalglish, Henrik Larsson and also Virgil van Dijk.

Celtic Football Club is much more than just a football club, and is actually a symbol of culture and identity for many Scots. The club's rich history, passionate fan base and the team's commitment to contributing to the community make the team beloved and hold a unique position in the global soccer scene.
