We completely understand you, Sorrento is a destination you don't want to leave, but wait, have you heard of Capri?

Let's talk about the island of Capri. Imagine a paradise in the form of a shimmering island where you will find breathtaking cliffs, magical blue caves, caressing beaches and pastoral streets. The island of Capri is a living work of art, an island that conquered emperors and kings and today continues to conquer artists and travelers. It is hard to resist the temptation of the island of Capri, which is just waiting for you to discover it on a magical day trip.

So let's go on a cruise together from Sorrento in Capri, which will take us on an unforgettable adventure between green and blue, between history and the present, between perfection and.. perfection.

The charm of the island of Capri:

Capri, located in Italy's Tyrrhenian Sea, is a captivating island famous for its rugged and complex landscape, its luxury hotels and its wonderful beaches. The island attracts tourists from all over the world who come to spend a day, two days or even a week there.

The name of the prestigious island was given for a reason, shall we say, a little less prestigious, and it was formerly called 'Capros', that is, wild boar, due to the population of wild boars that filled the island during the time of the ancient Greeks.

The island of Capri boasts a long history dating back to the Ancient Bronze Age. When you walk the cobbled streets of the island, you will think to yourself that the ancient Romans, who turned Capri into a vacation island already in the 1st century AD, walked on the same paths.

The period of glory of the magical island began during the reign of the Roman emperor Tiberius, who chose to live on the island of Capri in the last decade of his life, where he built no less than 12 villas around the island. One of the most famous of them, Villa Jovis, has been preserved for thousands of years and today you can witness its ruins when visiting the island.

Apart from the rich history and art and culture scene that characterizes the magical island, Capri's natural beauty cannot be ignored. On the island you can find a wonderful variety of expansive nature - towering cliffs that offer a panoramic view of the island and the blue sea, through impressive beaches, historical ruins and magnificent caves.

In the town of Capri itself you will find bustling streets with crowded squares surrounded by cafes and shops.

The island of Capri is something else, a magical experience between culture and breathtaking nature, all within touching distance of the mainland.

Boat Trip to Capri Island
A cruise to the island of Capri - is there anything more magical than that?

Sailing tour to Capri with professional guidance in Hebrew:

The journey to the island of Capri begins when the intimate ship you board leaves the port of Sorrento, on a magical cruise under the caressing Italian sun. From the very first moment the ship leaves the marina, you can experience the magic of Sorrento's beaches, and you will have fun stops in the middle of the sea where you can dive into the clear water, swim or sunbathe on board.

Don't worry, the experience is indulgently indulgent, so during the cruise and the stops you can treat yourself to a delightful selection of drinks and snacks, whether you fancy a glass of wine, a chilled beer or a refreshing drink.

After the fun cruise you will reach your first stop in Capri, the Blue Cave. You will arrive at the cave at the opening time of the site, so that you will avoid the long lines that may frequent the site during peak hours and months.

The Blue Cave is undoubtedly one of the highlights of the visit to the island, which is considered one of the most popular tourist sites in Italy. The amazing cave is a sea cave, where you will find vibrant blue water that gets its unique color from the sun's rays that come through an underwater space that illuminates the water inside.

You will enter the blue cave, which is about 60 meters long and 25 meters wide, through a small opening two meters high. Arriving at the cave is of course by boat, small rowing boats that add action and pastoral to the experience.

As soon as you step inside you will understand, the glowing blue reflection of the water creates a mesmerizing atmosphere that will make you feel like you are in an imaginary dream. Enjoy a magical cruise of about 40 minutes inside the cave, and let the blue magic take over your body and heart.

The tour continues with a cruise around the island of Capri, during which your guide will point out the iconic sites of the city and tell you the story behind them, including the white cave (Grotta Bianca), the green cave (Grotta Verde), the mighty Faraglioni rocks and the lighthouse of Punta Carna di Punta Carena). During the stops you will get opportunities to get out of the boat for a short swim in the pleasant waters in front of the maddening landscapes.

After the magical cruise, you will get 4 free hours on the island of Capri, where you can do whatever you want - take the chairlift to the top of Mount Solaro, stroll through the ancient streets of the town of Capri, mingle with the locals, buy unique souvenirs or simply soak up the peaceful Mediterranean atmosphere. If you are looking for ideas on how to spend time on the island, scroll down a bit in the article.

After the free time in Capri, you will meet back with the group and the guide, and start sailing back to Sorrento. The pleasure is not over yet, and you can enjoy the afternoon views of Capri alongside a tasting of limoncello, a traditional Neapolitan liqueur that is probably the most perfect end to an unforgettable day of travel. The return voyage will take about 45 minutes.

How to spend 4 free hours on the island of Capri:

Start your adventure in Capri's bustling main square Piazza Umberto I, where you can sip a cappuccino in one of the pastoral cafes that surround it, or you can wander the ancient streets that surround it.

From there, you can proceed to Via Krupp, a winding historic path that will lead you to Marina Piccola, a wonderful resort town offering great beaches and a perfect country getaway. Please note that the trail may be closed due to falling rocks, and if this is the case, you will come to appreciate the views of the blue sea from the top of the trail.

We believe you will want to refuel after visiting the island's many sites, and you can do so at one of the many excellent restaurants in Capri.

If you did walk along the path to Marina Piccola, don't miss the restaurant Ristorante da Gioia, a wonderful seafood restaurant that offers fresh fish dishes and an amazing view of the blue shores of the island.

If you are staying in the town of Capri, you can enjoy a wonderful lunch at the restaurant Ristorante Buca di Bacco, serving fine Italian food.

After lunch you can wander the magical streets of the town of Capri, where you will find prestigious designer stores and local boutiques alongside souvenir shops offering refreshing limoncello, leather sandals or unique bells.

If you are people of architecture and history, go to the monastery Certosa di San Giacomo, the exceptionally well-preserved 14th century monastery, and you can enjoy ancient wall paintings and a spectacular view of the blue sea.
