Manchester City Football Stadium Tour

In the vibrant city of Manchester, where football is a way of life, you can find the Etihad Stadium, which is considered a modern coliseum of the beloved football club Manchester City. With its innovative design and exciting atmosphere, the iconic stadium has become a pilgrimage center for passionate fans from England and around the world. Let's go on a journey between the stadium, the Manchester City team and the fascinating team museum:

Manchester City team:
Manchester City, known as "The Blues", has experienced a rollercoaster of victories and tribulations since its founding in 1880. In recent years, the club has emerged as a football powerhouse, and is undoubtedly one of those who dominate the English football scene with an impressive collection of Premier League titles. Since it was purchased by investors from Abu Dhabi in 2008, the Manchester City football club is considered the richest club in the world.

The club's trophy cabinet includes a large number of Premier League titles, FA Cups, League Cups and "Community Shield" trophies. On the European stage, they have also won the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Europa League.

The team is known for its blue color, which has become synonymous with the club. Manchester City's main rival is none other than the Manchester United team, with whom the team faces in the Manchester derby, which is considered one of the most passionate and interesting games in the English league.

Throughout the club's activity, several legendary players such as Sergio Aguero, Vincent Kompany, David Silva and Kevin De Bruyne played in the team.

Etihad Stadium - a paradise for footballers:

In truth, the Etihad Stadium was not built to serve as the home of the Manchester City football team, but was originally built as an athletics stadium for the Commonwealth Games in 2002. A year after its establishment, the Manchester City team asked to rent the stadium, and it has become their home ever since.

The stadium has a modern and innovative design, and includes unique features such as a special roof that allows natural light to illuminate the field. The stadium has no less than 53,000 seats, and is considered one of the largest in the country.

Etihad Stadium is part of a larger sports complex called Etihad Campus, which covers 200 hectares and serves as the training and management center for the Manchester City team. The campus includes state-of-the-art training facilities, a world-class sports science center, and the renowned City Soccer Academy. The magnificent football campus is testament to Manchester City's commitment to fostering a culture of success and nurturing the next generation of football stars.

Manchester City Museum:

Inside the Etihad Stadium, there is the Manchester City Museum, which is a must-see for fans of the team and football fans in general. The fascinating museum spaces are dedicated to presenting the rich and legendary history of the football club, from its humble beginnings in 1880, to its current status as a world football power.

Visitors to the museum will be able to find plenty of fascinating exhibits that include iconic shirts, trophies and a variety of memorabilia such as photographs and newspaper clippings documenting the club's journey over the years. The museum also includes interactive displays and multimedia exhibits, which provide a fascinating and immersive experience for visitors of all ages.

One of the highlights of the Manchester City Museum is the space of personal stories, where you can find personal testimonies of players, staff members and managers about the events that shaped the club and made it what it is today.

The fascinating museum does not forget to thank the team's fans as well, and also presents an exhibition related to the club's passionate fans.

In addition to the regular exhibitions, the Manchester City Museum often hosts special events such as talks by past players, workshops and exhibitions dealing with different periods in the club's history or football culture.

Guided tour of Manchester City's stadium:

One of the wonderful and fascinating ways to find out more about the beloved team and the iconic stadium is to go on a guided behind-the-scenes tour of the Etihad Stadium. On the guided tour, which lasts about 75 minutes, you will go on a tour of the stadium, accompanied by a professional local guide. During the tour, you can get an impression of the state-of-the-art stadium, its impressive facilities and the crazy grandstand, and you will visit, among other things, the state-of-the-art players' tunnel, which is considered the first of its kind in the world, and a host of fascinating areas such as the dressing rooms, the press room, the interview area and, of course, the field itself. The visit also includes a tour of the spectacular Manchester City Museum.

Tickets must be ordered in advance

The tour lasts about 75 minutes.

The tour is conducted by an English-speaking guide. You can request a personal audio guide in Italian, French, Arabic, Chinese, Spanish and German languages.

The tour is held in small groups - of up to 6 participants, to allow for an optimal and intimate tour.

You can come on a wide variety of dates and days during the week (tickets must be ordered in advance). It is not recommended to come on the days of a match at the stadium, so apart from the rush and crowding, the tour is also reduced and does not include the press rooms, the dressing rooms and the players' tunnel.
